      Your role

      Are you interested in algorithmic trading? We are seeking a developer to join our electronic trading team within UBS Global Markets. We're looking for someone to:
      • Will be taking a java developer role in building a system to electronically execute client orders across equities, fixed income, and exchange-traded derivatives, applying industry-leading approaches to order routing, including machine-learning techniques, to grow client business and revenues.
      • Talented software engineer and Java developer and ideally have experience with trading systems.
      • Will be involved in all stages of development: proactively analysing business requirements, collaboratively designing solutions, and writing high-quality code.
      • Collaborate with other global IT teams, Quants and Traders across regions and asset-classes.

      Your team

      You will be joining the Execution Hub ATLAS development team in London, which work closely with quants, and traders, in a front office position. Execution Hub is a global trading business that manages and executes client orders on behalf of GWM & B4B businesses, engaging with other electronic brokers in the market, as well as UBS Investment Bank, to source and engage liquidity. Execution Hub operates across all asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and exchange-traded derivatives and across many different order types such as limit, market, stop, stop limit, and algorithmic orders. You will gain exposure across all these areas.

      Your expertise

      • Core Java skills.
      • Excellent software engineering practices with a proactive approach to their application
      • Kx Kdb or SQL experience
      • Possibly some experience of Python and Azure
      • Possibly some experience of distributed systems including reactive-style or event-based programming, messaging, and databases
      • Basic statistics
      • A proven team player able to work in a collaborative way across business units, teams and regions
