What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of team personnel to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Provide technical leadership for engineering design and construction functions within assigned projects
- Manage team productivity and ensure project closure and invoicing are completed accurately
- Develop customer proposals, including detailed technical scope, schedule, budget, and resource management
- Interface directly with clients or contractors to ensure project execution aligns with scope
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 3+ years of experience in the utility industry, engineering design, and/or project management
- Supervisory experience of 0-2 years
- Thorough knowledge of electrical distribution assets and/or communication equipment construction
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining schedule and budget
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Professional Engineering (PE) License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Knowledge or experience in utility Long Term Infrastructure Improvement Programs (LTIIP)
- Familiarity with pole loading software (Spida Calc, O-Calc, Pole Foreman, or Katapult) or other construction modeling software (AutoCAD)
- Experience with utility or joint-use software (Katapult, SPANS, NJUNS, IkeGPS) for make-ready engineering and construction
