- Perform a variety of maintenance, repairs, continuous improvement, and new installation functions on plant equipment and machinery with limited direction and guidance.
- Support manufacturing operations in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
- Complete wiring projects and new installations safely, professionally, and efficiently according to electrical line-up and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe electrical techniques, schematics, and diagnostic instruments.
- Perform mechanical functions and incidental work as needed to achieve assigned tasks.
- Verify equipment is functional and leave the area clean and safe.
- Operate in response to requests by maintenance supervisor or support personnel, setting priorities to maximize equipment uptime.
- Gather and maintain a complete set of required tools, including electrical meters and diagnostic devices.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and electrical schematics to define problem areas and assist with resolution.
- Develop PLC skills to troubleshoot controls related issues.
- Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life.
- Recommend improvements and/or changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable.
- Journeyman Card Electrician (UAW, IBEW, State, DOL)
- High School Diploma
- Experience troubleshooting conveyors and/or automated equipment
- PLC Troubleshooting (hook computer into PLC to view and troubleshoot)
- Experience with Siemens PLC's

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to repair and maintain various equipment including pumps, stills, deionizers, softeners, air compressors, freeze dryers, sterilizers, as well as the facilities. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and the ability to work full shifts and overtime as needed.

Work Environment
The work environment is a very clean, sterile manufacturing setting with several filling/capping lines, each housed in separate sterile areas. The tool room is older, with machines dating back to the 1980s. Employees work in a union environment and are required to adhere to specific shift hours: 2nd shift from 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday, with a 7% shift premium.

This is a Permanent position based out of ROCHESTER, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $108222.40 - $111467.20/yr.
