      Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team, specializing in the refurbishment, installation, and servicing of circuit breakers and switchgear boxes. The role involves working with various mining and utility companies, requiring travel to different locations based on service calls. This position is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the electrical systems of our clients.

      Responsibilities

      • Dismantle, refurbish, and rebuild a variety of circuit breakers and switchgears.
      • Travel to different locations for service calls and perform electrical installation, including conduit, cable, and switchgear.
      • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems both indoors and outdoors.
      • Demonstrate working knowledge of low and medium voltage systems ranging from 120v to 46kv.
      • Utilize electrical test meters such as megger, ammeters, hipot, ductor, and Doble.
      • Read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
      • Apply electrical theory in AC and DC power circuits.
      • Perform control wiring installation using schematics and wiring diagrams.
      • Provide and maintain personal tools for job performance.
      • Travel for regular preventative maintenance and emergency projects.

      Essential Skills

      • 5+ years of electrical experience.
      • Journeyman or equivalent experience.
      • Experience with utility companies and heavy industry.
      • Proficiency in electrical theory and AC/DC power circuits.
      • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.


      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
