About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Plumber to support the operation and maintenance of a large commercial facility in Northern VA, (Annandale). This position involves installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining piping systems, fixtures, and equipment that support chilled water, steam, condensate return, domestic water, and sanitary systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in a large commercial facility environment and be committed to safety and reliability. Hours: All shifts
Responsibilities:
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain piping systems for steam, chilled water, domestic hot and cold water, and waste systems.• Work on pumps, valves, steam traps, pressure regulators, back-flow preventer's, and other plumbing-related equipment.• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on plumbing and piping systems.• Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, and malfunctions in both pressurized and non-pressurized systems.• Fabricate and install piping using copper, steel, PVC, and other materials in compliance with codes and building specifications.• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to ensure accurate installation and repair.• Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance staff to support building/facility operations and system improvements.• Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and system conditions.• Ensure compliance with all applicable plumbing codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.________________________________________
You Should Have
Qualifications:
• Valid Journeyman Plumber License (as required by jurisdiction).• High school diploma or GED.• Minimum Five (5) years of plumbing experience in a commercial environment.• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, pipe-fitting techniques, and plumbing system diagnostics.• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and P&IDs.• Experience with high- and low-pressure steam systems, chilled water distribution, and hydronic heating systems.• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Back-flow Prevention Certification.• OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.
