      Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Junior IT Security Analyst with a proven track record of maintenance, configuration, and design of cybersecurity tools. The successful candidate must have strong technical and analytical skills in modern data security strategy. The candidate must also be available to work on evenings and weekends when necessary.       Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

      • Initiate immediate actions to contain identified cyber security issues detected from a variety of platforms and operating systems or as reported by end users. Perform forensic collections, intrusion correlation/tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation to contain threats
      • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and other cyber security tools like Next Generation AV & EDR, intrusion detection systems. SIEM with UBA, Vulnerability Management, Data Classification software, and Data Loss Prevention software
      • Investigate false positives and assess enhancements on how to reduce noise
      • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
      • Help colleagues with the installation and troubleshooting of security software tools in use
      • Stay up to date on information security standards and threats
      • Candidates must have strong communication skills and be capable of handling all aspects of IT hardware/software configuration and help-desk questions as pertinent to tasks performed
      • Continuous pursuit of balance between thorough data security and efficient, functional computing services
      • Must follow and support IT Security Policies and Procedures as specified

      Essential skills and experience:

      • Information security education or certification is preferred
      • Preference given to those with security related certifications like Security+, CySA+, etc
      • Exposure to and familiarity with the roles and uses of the following cybersecurity tools (any Next Generation AV & EDR, Next generation firewalls, intrustion detection systems. SIEM with UBA systems, Vulnerability Management systems, Data Classification software, and Data Loss Prevention software
      • Familiarity within cybersecurity frameworks (NIST & CIS Controls) preferred
      • Enterprise level troubleshooting skills are essential to success
      • Soft skills are required as serving our members and staff is our key initiative
      • Must maintain current understanding of cybersecurity tools and industry best practices to find solutions that pursue organizational goals for continuous improvement and keeping our members sensitive information secure
