What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with administrative actions related to Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Authorization to Operate (ATO), and annual assessments
- Apply knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 800-53A, and 800-37 in security processes
- Conduct System Security Authorization reviews and ensure ongoing monitoring and authorization tasks across multiple systems
- Collaborate closely with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) throughout the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle
- Maintain compliance with FISMA and ensure effective system security posture alongside internal and external cybersecurity teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- IT degree with a concentration in Security, or 3-4 years of experience without a degree
- Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or Public Trust clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- No physical requirements for this position
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in cybersecurity roles or relevant internships
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
