Job Description
- Req#: 6154
- Review and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) from insurance carriers to post appropriate payments and denials
- Validate electronic payment posting (835 files) and evaluate remittances for exceptions, recoupments and other deductions from invoiced amounts
- Post miscellaneous checks to appropriate general ledger accounts
- Process and post one-time credit card insurance remits
- Post automated lockbox and credit card files
- All Homecare payment posting
- Balance all batches to ensure accurate reporting of payments received
- Scan checks and record daily deposits on cash log
- Process patient refunds
- Prepare month end journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Download daily bank information
- Backup Accounts Payable
- Other duties
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient 10 key skill
- Written and oral communication skills
- Detailed oriented with strong organization skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work within a team in a professional and courteous manner
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
