Job Description

- Conduct due diligence and enhanced due diligence by reviewing and approving counterparties, both for new and existing counterparties
- Review and approving counterparties towards other units e.g. Mergers & Acquisitions, BA Wind etc…
- Support with the roll-out of training materials to other units that need screening support
- Support with the documentation of screenings as well as gathering of various types of statistics on compliance activities (in relation to KPI’s)
- Perform benchmarks and desktop studies, support and participate in activities related to the Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap and other activities with the Sustainability team aimed at further develop and integrate sustainability into Vattenfall’s processes and activities
- Perform code of conduct comparisons and evaluations, audit report reviews and provide recommendations
- You have at least 1-2 years experience in compliance and reviewing counterparties or suppliers
- You are excellent in using excel (for data gathering) and powerpoint (presentations)
- You possess the ability to extract, synthesize, and convey relevant, understandable insights from very complex topics including judgement calls of social aspects
- You are not afraid dealing with conflicting interest amongst stakeholders whilst remaining positive
- You enjoy working on details and like to add the finishing touch
- You have a natural desire to make positive impact on society

Job Description
You will join the Supply Chain Sustainability team in its work to secure Vattenfall’s position as a frontrunner in sustainability. To do this, you will primarily be supporting with the assessments of suppliers, as well as putting together recommendations and training material for colleagues throughout the organization about how to incorporate sustainability in our procurement processes
You will join a diverse team spread over multiple locations, all working on integrating sustainability within the procurement of goods & services and fuels sourcing at Vattenfall.
We are a competence center performing (enhanced) due diligence on behalf of other units in Vattenfall. In this process counterparties are scrutinized with regard to risk for money laundering, terrorism financing, lacking social responsibility etc. Next to that, we assure compliancy with regulations, which includes tasks such as trainings, controls and the drafting of internal instructions.

You are our ideal candidate if you have an academic degree in preferably legal studies, alternatively a degree in sustainable science/development, or human rights.

Location: You can choose to be based in one of our office in Amsterdam, Berlin or Hamburg. We are looking for candidates already living and working close to one of these locations.
