      As a Junior Application Developer, you will provide programming expertise needed to support our applications developed by Westinghouse. You will rely on the use of existing frameworks and languages to create applications used by several departments within Westinghouse.

      The Developer will work with U.S. and Poland-based Application Developers to produce solutions. We are looking for a basic understanding of Agile methods, Software Development Lifecycle, Object-Oriented Programming, HTTP standards, and Full Stack Development (applications, databases, servers, and operating systems).

      In addition to technical skills, the Junior Application Developer must work well with minimal requirements and be willing to explore and uncover new requirements with meetings, emails, and exploratory discussions with a business representative or other developers. The Junior Developer must be willing to stop when unsure and ask questions.

      You will report to the manager IT Apps Development and Operations, and be located at Cranberry Township, PA and is a hybrid schedule (3 days in office and 2 remote).

      Main Responsibilities:

      • Support existing enterprise applications.

      • Help develop new applications and feature enhancements.

      • Complete assigned project activities on time and maintain requirements with Azure DevOps.

      • Complete application support activities to achieve Service level agreement targets set by Westinghouse.

      • Follow established project management methodologies and documentation standards to complete all projects in assigned application area.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

      • Minimum 3.0 GPA

      • 0-2 years of experience

      • Basic web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

      • Basic database CRUD operations

      • Object-oriented programming language experience (C#, Java, C/++)

      • Back-end framework experience (.NET, Spring)

      • Front-end framework experience Angular, REACT and VUE are required

      • Microsoft DevOps experience

      • Flexibility and creativity

      • Experience weighing specific technical tradeoffs to maximize impact for effort when analyzing information

      • Complete development work on time and within budget

      • Provide high quality support within Service level agreement
