      JLL has an exciting opportunity for a junior Building Operator to join one of it's maintenance teams in downtown Toronto. This position manages a smaller office building and requires someone who is mechanically inclined with exceptional customer service skills to interact with the tenants.

      The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good judgement and is enthusiastic about building operations. Hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday and you must also be available for fire alarm testing one Saturday per month as well as participate in an on-call rotation (once week per month) and other overtime as required. This building is located near public transit and has onsite parking available.

      What this job involves

      • Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible.
      • Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility
      • Provide assistance as directed to other building operations staff in the areas of maintenance
      • Perform water treatment testing and analysis, adjust and modify chemical feed to ensure proper levels are being maintained.
      • Act as relief for other similar positions whose incumbent may be absent from time-to-time.
      • Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in the mechanical/electrical areas
      • Perform other related duties as required and assigned from time-to-time

      • Completion of, or in progress of, the BES program and/or equivalent program or other work experience
      • Strong Interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence
      • Good verbal and written communication skills.
      • Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems, CCTV and Card Access systems in order to be trained for the next level
      • A reliable vehicle is an asset for after hour calls and emergencies
