      Be a part of an exciting and rewarding summer as a Junior Camp Counselor with the Y! In this seasonal role, you will supervise and support a group of children in a day camp setting, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere. You’ll work closely with Senior Counselors and camp leadership to create a fun and engaging experience while ensuring the well-being and development of every camper. By promoting the Y’s mission and values, you’ll contribute to a cause-driven culture focused on community, growth, and belonging.

      • Must be at least 16 years old with a strong desire to work with children in an outdoor setting.
      • Prior experience working with children is preferred.
      • Demonstrated ability to assist in teaching and facilitating camp activities.
      • Effective communication skills to support, counsel, and motivate campers.
      • Adaptability, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
      • Must complete mandatory new employee trainings and department onboarding.
      • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are preferred.
      • Physical ability to fully participate in camp activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
