- ALS provider (Advanced Life Support)
- Airway management skills
- Competency in vascular access, including central venous catheter insertion

Job summary
The posts are full-time, based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich site (QEH), one of the main hospital sites of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT). Successful applicants can choose to work either as fixed term (4-12 months) or substantively. Candidates will work in 4 month blocks and can express a preference as to which departments they work for across the divisions of Acute, Emergency and Specialist Medicine, we will endeavour to accommodate candidate's specialty requests as much as possible but cannot guarantee this.
There is the option for some posts to be 80:20 clinical: educational or 80:20 clinical and managerial, to allow time for undergraduate education or management development. This can be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate can work in one of several medical specialties, depending on the needs of the applicant and demands of the department. Participation in the general medical on-call rota is optional. We can provide experience in frailty, respiratory, neurology, diabetes and endocrine, acute medicine or general medicine. All posts are supervised by a specialist consultant. There is regular teaching that the successful applicant will be able to attend.

Job responsibilities
The primary duties of the post are to do Ward Rounds and the occasional clinic with ready access to support and supervision from more senior staff.
On duty 1 in 3 weekends and approximately the equivalent of 4 nights per month. No on-call responsibility.
Maintain continued professional development
Undertake and assist in audit projects at various times throughout the rotations
Attend weekly educational and multidisciplinary sessions
To co-operate with members of the HR department when monitoring hours of work. Attend induction in each new department. Comply with all local policies including dress code, annual and study leave. Medical staff will be expected to show qualities of leadership but also to know their limitations and call for help and advice appropriately.
Resident medical staff will also begin to work independently
Liaise between nurses, other junior doctors, patients, relatives and senior medicals
