As a Junior Data Scientist you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, working closely with senior data scientists and supply chain experts. You will play a vital role in leveraging data to enhance our supply chain processes, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help optimize supply chain operations.
2. Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data to make it suitable for analysis, ensuring data quality and reliability.
3. Statistical Modeling: Assist in building and applying statistical models to support demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and other supply chain functions.
4. Data Visualization: Create clear and insightful data visualizations to communicate findings and support decision-making.
5. Predictive Analytics: Collaborate with senior data scientists to develop and apply predictive models for supply chain performance and demand forecasting.
6. Report Generation: Generate regular reports on collaborate with analysts to refine and distribute high-value key supply chain metrics and present findings to stakeholders.
7. Data Integration: Work with data engineers to integrate and unify data from various sources for analysis.
8. Hypothesis Testing: Assist in designing and conducting experiments simulations to test hypotheses and evaluate the impact of supply chain initiatives.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain analysts and operational teams, to understand business requirements and offer data-driven solutions.
10. Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or Master’s degree with strong academic record in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong mathematics
- Basic proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Leveraging of libraries like NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras for data manipulation and model development.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Power BI, Tableau), as well as data warehousing and ETL processes (e.g. SQL, Informatica, Spark, Talend)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or coursework in data science, machine learning, or statistics.
- Knowledge of SQL for data querying warehousing and ETL tools (e.g. SQL, Informatica, Spark, Talend, etc.).
- Understanding of supply chain concepts is a plus but not required
