Job purpose :

The Junior Designer Intern, VJC will design within the domain of the Collection following the guidelines and creative direction given by the Head of Design.

Job Responsibilities:

Research:

• Research material and colors according to the macro themes of the collection
• Present research in a concise and efficient selection that feels relevant
• Discuss ideas with senior designer and the team and develop the research more in depth
• Explore and go out in an adventurous spirit and bring back ideas to the group

Design:

• Design within the boundaries and themes set by the senior designer
• Propose relevant ideas that fit with the macro themes
• Develop technical skills in order to facilitate the making of a real garment
• Work with Print and understand how they can work on a garment
• Excellent ability in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for design and rendering of the sketch

Development:

• Work with the Production team and senior designer to prepare clear drawings that are easily explained and clear
• Work with Production team and senior designer on the best way to construct the garment
• Working at fittings making clear notes that are understandable and clear. Taking concise notes on the sketches to have a clear understanding of garment and collection development

Profile

• Minimum BA degree in Design
• 2/3 years of design experience.
• Computer skills: Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong teamwork and relationship skills
• Organization and problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Fluent Italian
