      We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Internal Control Analyst to join our internal control team. This entry-level position is ideal for a candidate looking to begin their career in internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance. The Junior Internal Control Analyst will assist in evaluating and improving internal control systems to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and support the overall efficiency of the company’s operations.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Partnering with various Tarkett Sports unit process owners, provide day-to-day support on internal control matters:

      • Support risk management activities: Assist in identifying and analyzing risks that could affect the company’s operational effectiveness and financial accuracy.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with departments such as finance, operations, IT, and compliance to ensure adherence to internal control policies.
      • Monitor internal control issues and recommendations: Track the implementation of corrective actions for control deficiencies and assist in follow-up audits.
      • Assist with the preparation of compliance documentation: Help ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies through proper documentation and monitoring.
      • Participate in internal training: Support in educating staff about internal controls and compliance best practices.

      Perform annual internal audits

      • Assist in the development and execution of internal control audits: Support the internal control team in assessing the effectiveness of internal control processes across various business functions.
      • Conduct internal control testing: Assist in performing tests of internal controls and documenting findings, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
      • Documentation and reporting: Help in the preparation of detailed reports and presentations of audit findings, control weaknesses, and recommendations for improvements.

      Support to the Finance Transformation and Internal Controls Director on process improvement initiatives, ERP rollout and other ad hoc projects

      Required Qualifications:

      • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
      • Experience: No prior experience required. Internships or academic projects related to internal controls, auditing, or compliance are a plus.
      • Skills:
        • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
        • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
        • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
        • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
      • Knowledge:
        • Basic understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, SOX).
        • Familiarity with risk management processes is a plus.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Certifications: Pursuing or planning to pursue professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
      • Experience: Internship experience in internal auditing, accounting, or finance would be an advantage.

      Work Environment:

      • Type: Full-time, entry-level position.
      • Location: Montreal, hybrid (2 days in office required)
      • Travel: Minimal travel may be required for audits or site visits.
