      Once our pioneering treatments have been developed, they are manufactured to the highest standards and distributed across the regions that need them most. Accomplishing this as efficiently and quickly as possible can quite literally be a matter of life and death. So it's no wonder that more than 70% of our talented workforce is based within Global Industrial Operations - the essential business unit that manufactures and manages the entire vaccine supply process, from customer order to product dispatch on a global scale.
      As the name suggests, it operates in a multi-national context across more than 17 sites around the world, working closely in tandem with colleagues from a variety of disciplines and professions.

      The department is structured in operating units that focus on various aspects of the manufacturing and supply process. These include Industrialisation (overseeing the transfer of production from R&D to a commercial level), Supply Chain Management and Technical Services.

      For this department, we are looking for a Junior Leader.

      Your responsibilities:

      • Ensure the full responsibility/ backup for the cell and viral culture manager of cell and viral culture team (around 20 people). This includes people selection, coaching, personnel training to the required competencies, planning's' management, contacts with social partners, as well as all daily aspects of a team's life.
      • Be present in the field with the cell and viral culture team to learn the process and understand field constraints
      • Continuously anticipates potential improvements of the current processes while assuring compliance with the Change Management procedures.
      • Manages and documents deviations and CAPA by integrating changes to manufacturing operations.
      • Organizes and monitors performance progress efficiency of the team through Key Performance Indicators.
      • Ensures that the facility is properly managed in accordance with highest quality standards, including Security and (Bio) Safety aspects.
      • Ensures that the facility, equipment, and staff are appropriately designed and trained to ensure production activities.
      • Assures the production responsibility with QA, QC and RA Departments
      • Responsible/ backup for the cell and viral culture manager for representing GSK before visitors and local authorities for the cell and viral culture manufacturing process
      • Work to control cost related in team managed, within budgetary constraints
      • Be the backup for the cell and viral culture manager (team management, Batch record management, ...)

      Why you?

      Basic Qualifications:

      We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

      • Bio Engineer or University degree in sciences or equivalent acquired through experience
      • Very good knowledge of GMP for biological products
      • Fluent French and good background in English
      • Knowledge in people management
      • Excellent communication skills

      Preferred Qualifications:

      If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

      • Experience in people management
      • Organized and capable of managing priorities
      • Open minded and proactive
      • Decision making and autonomy
      • Ability to build environment that supports co-operation and cohesiveness among the work team
      • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in vaccine production or specific production unit
