      JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

      The Oakley Jnr Business Brand Manager will manage a portfolio of sports brands focusing on Oakley but including Bliz and Costa Del Mar.

      They must exhibit a deep understanding of markets, clients, and consumers in order to devise and lead a product’s go-to-market strategy by way of customer-centric solutions. The Brand Manager must have an understanding of the brand’s audiences, their needs, and often acts as a subject matter expert who transfers knowledge about markets, buyers, and product across marketing and sales functions.

      Their main task will be to shape the direction of the brand through implementing the global brand strategy while considering the needs of the local market. As a brand guardian, they will focus on driving brand equity through communication platforms, ensuring relevance, increasing awareness, and conversion to purchase. There will be a strong focus on the distribution and segmentation management of the different product categories.

      Success is achieving or exceeding brand sales targets in both volume and value, improvement in the brand health key performance indicators, and ensuring campaign execution excellence all delivered within budget and on time.

      AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

      MARKETING - 50%

      • Supporting in planning and delivery of the brand marketing calendar
      • Leading communication flow of global brand plans to the local Trade Marketing team and Salesforce
      • Guiding the brand strategy execution (in-store and online) across the distribution with the Trade Marketing Team
      • Ownership of Trade Marketing budgets and invoicing processes
      • Management of special ‘catalyst projects’ such as limited-edition product launches and brand collaborations
      • Monitoring of TradeUp Forecast/allocation process for Massive Seasonal tools ensuring that budgets are efficiently spent, deadlines are met and tools properly allocated
      • Managing the production and delivery of digital communications

      PRODUCT – 30%

      • Defining and implementing the product segmentation strategy across the distribution
      • Communicate the storytelling elements of the collections internally (presentations in meetings, calls, etc...) and externally.
      • Analyse the performance of the collections by segments.
      • Filtering and disseminating product information to local sales teams
      • Collect and consolidate product feedback for global product teams across all categories.
      • Ensuring full understanding of product segmentations throughout the salesforce
      • Build assortment recommendations in collaboration with the Category Management team.
      • Develop tailor-made recommendations for "image" clients
      • Manage exclusivity rules for product categories

      SAMPLE MANAGEMENT - 20%

      • Lead Sample management across the region for pre book categories – Goggles, Helmets, AFA
      • Forecast, allocate and manage the ordering of all sales reps and showroom sample sets
      • Ensure samples are delivered in full and on time for the showrooms and sales reps
      • Keeping up to date record of reps and showrooms sample set needs

      NETWORK OF INTERACTION:

      INTERNAL :

      • Global Brand team – Translate global brand direction into local actionable strategy
      • Trade Marketing – Align on brand strategy and support in campaign execution
      • Commercial – Align on brand strategy and support in product recommendations for campaigns
      • PR – Jointly develop and execute the local Entertainment Marketing and influencer strategy
      • Training – Develop training strategy considering the Tech rep team and training managers
      • Digital – To develop a full and coherent communication plan for the brand highlights

      EXTERNAL :

      • Clients – Brand and product presentations when and where necessary
      • Agencies – Managing brand specific projects

      TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

      • Qualification to degree-level ideally within Business/Economics with focus on Marketing.
      • 2- 5 years professional experience in brand management and marketing, ideally in the field of FMCG.
      • Ability in project management / coordination of multi-disciplinary teams.
      • Organization, autonomy & dynamism to drive projects forward.
      • Flawless attention to detail and organised
      • Very good analytical and conceptual skills.
      • Strong communication and presentation skills, with personality capable of adapting to different audiences.
      • Creative, Imaginative, and constantly curious, able to propose new ideas.
      • Takes an active interest and has an excellent understanding in competitors/ influential sports brands and the products and approach they have
      • Has excellent spoken and written English.
      • Confident handling of Microsoft office and excel

      LANGUAGES:

      • Fluent written and spoken English
      • Other languages desirable

      HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

      The normal working hours will be 8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, you may need to work longer when necessary and on weekends.
