      We are currently seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join our team at Irving Paper, located in Saint John, New Brunswick. This position has potential to lead to exciting opportunities for advancement within our organization.

      Qualifications

      • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
      • Years of Experience Required: 1-5 years of engineering experience in an industrial environment
      • Well-developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
      • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
      • Understands and can demonstrate analytical problem solving and decision making
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Curious, persistent problem solver with natural tendency to ask questions
      • Mechanically inclined with ability to figure out how things work
      • Strong focus on safety and process improvement
      • Strong leadership skills
      • Possesses drive, initiative and works well in cross functional teams
      • Experience with Environmental Management and regulatory requirements is considered an asset
      • Supervisory experience is considered an asset

      Responsibilities

      As a Junior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providing optimal improvement of mill processes. This shall include, but not be limited to, troubleshooting processes, analyzing trends and data, and identifying root cause and solutions for improvement. Focusing on driving technical excellence and establishing improved standards of operations are the vision for this job.
