Job Description

- Understanding of design systems and ability to work with them in a project.
- Proficient in design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
- Demonstrates best practice and advocates for the user at all stages of their design work.
- Confident supporting projects with stakeholders and project team including researchers and other designers.
- Passionate about design and able to enthuse and inspire others.
- Annual salary between: £25,000 - £35,000 National / £35,000 - £45,000 London (location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity of 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s)
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.

Junior Product Designer
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 National / £35,000 - £45,000 London
Are you someone who loves to thrive on problem solving, crafting elegant designs that enhance user experiences and bring innovation to life?
Do you have an eagerness to learn, a good understanding of design principles and proficiency in design tools and software? If so, we are looking for a Junior Product Designer to join the User Centred Design team here at Aviva and would love to talk to you.
A bit about the job:
ION is Aviva's global design system. It is a reusable; responsive web component library and front-end CSS / HTML code base and we are looking to expand. Used by global digital product and engineering teams, it helps to deliver maintainable experiences for our customers and intermediaries.
As Junior Product Designer on the design system team you will help support the creation and maintenance of the visual language, components, and patterns that ensure consistency, efficiency, and usability across various products and platforms in Aviva. You’ll have a great eye for detail and be able to blend creativity with functionality, shaping ideas into tangible, user-centred solutions.
