      Junior Professional Associates – Program Description

      The Junior Professionals Associate Program (JPA) offers an exceptional opportunity for recent graduates to embark on a professional journey, providing a three-year contract with valuable work experience within a diverse and dynamic environment and the potential of field work experience. The program is an excellent platform to sharpen your existing skills and to develop new ones, all while gaining a profound understanding of the challenges associated with reducing poverty and fostering shared prosperity on a livable planet.

      The following are minimum requirements to be eligible for the JPA program:

      • Be 32 years of age or younger
      • Hold a bachelor’s degree

      The JPA program at the World Bank is a highly competitive initiative.       Specific Unit Description – HR Talent Attraction Unit (HRDTA)

      In positioning the WBG as an employer of choice and leader within the development community and to better respond to the diversified needs of the organization’s shareholders and staff, HR Vice Presidency incorporates:

      Client Services Department that incorporates an end-to-end staffing model and supports the implementation of People and Culture (HR) plans and processes.
      Employment Policy, Compensation and Systems Department that provides an integrated approach to managing employment policy and staff rules, driving compensation and benefit programs, and supporting service solutions, systems and analytics.
      Performance, Career and Learning Department that brings together the entire talent management life cycle to maximize and leverage innovative solutions and strategies for increasing the WBG’s organizational and individual performance and capabilities.

      Attracting and recruiting the right talent, in the right place and at the right time is critical to the WBG’s Operations. The Talent Attraction unit is responsible for driving recruitment best practices and attracting diverse skilled talents, in partnership with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and implement strategies to efficiently source candidates, develop and maintain pipelines and lead the recruitment process to meet client’s short and long-term talent needs.

      Duties and Responsibilities Eligibility Criteria

      The selected candidate will support the Talent Attraction team on the following activities (including but not limited to) under the supervision of a Senior Recruiter (or as delegated):

      • Provide support in on-going recruitment activities with internal clients, such as drafting job descriptions, screening applications, preparing salary analysis, offer letters, and facilitating onboarding processes.
      • Provide support in talent outreach, employer branding, and sourcing activities, such as updating content across internal and external websites and other online platforms, developing and disseminating internal and external communication materials.
      • Building and maintaining talent pipelines, including market research on where to find in-demand skills
      • Provide sourcing support to Recruiters on hard to fill roles
      • Provide support in the coordination of virtual and in-person events by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, preparing materials, and presentations.
      • Provide support in the development of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and collecting and analyzing data points on different recruitment matters.
      • Support on the design and delivery of training materials for the Talent Attraction team, other HR staff and Hiring Managers.
      • Provide support in the enhancement and maintenance of the recruitment systems, databases, tools, such as testing new functionalities, troubleshooting issues, and providing user support.
      • Carry out other activities in support of the Recruitment team as might be determined to be priorities during the JPA assignment.

      Selection Criteria

      • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Finance, or a similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis; able to articulate issues and recommend solutions to aid management in decision-making
      • Proficiency in all HR Systems and Microsoft Windows applications, namely Excel, Word and Power Point, including advanced spreadsheet design, lookup tables, manipulation, and analysis skills; knowledge of additional analytical, statistical, and publishing applications is advantageous
      • Solid knowledge of core HR areas: compensation/benefits; strategic staffing, learning and training; performance management, career development, staffing and recruitment, and case management
      • Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials
      • Strong quality control orientation; attention to detail
      • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
      • Ability to work collaboratively, consultatively and in teams while fully owning and managing own workstream and deliverables in the context of a broader program delivery
      • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to collect, sort and analyze complex data sets, derive key takeaways and present them in engaging data-driven graphics and presentations
      • Fully fluent in English language with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts succinctly and to produce audience-ready documents and presentations
