      Position Overview:

      Reporting to the Test Manager, the Junior QA Tester works in a small team of testers within the Quality Assurance Team on all stages of the software development lifecycle. The Junior Analyst works closely with Test Manager, Product and Project Managers, Development and Business Stakeholders to deliver product and project releases.

      Main Responsibilities:

      • Analyse new and changed functionality to create detailed and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts using agreed standards and processes, with a strong focus on automation.

      • Proactively liaise with subject matter experts to derive precise and detailed testing expected outcomes.

      • Lead automation efforts, executing automated testing, with a focus on adding new tests to the automation suite using Java or other high level programming language and Selenium to increase efficiency.

      • Document and record defects or problems, tracking the status of defects, and verifying resolution during the testing lifecycle.

      • Escalate issues to the Test Manager and Project Team as needed.

      • Perform functional, non-functional, database and regression testing, prioritising automation where applicable.

      • Contribute to test process improvements, focusing on automation techniques, and develop and maintain documentation relating to QA processes with an emphasis on automation strategies.

      Required Skills:

      • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills

      • Have a positive mindset and be able to make an effective contribution to team tasks and team spirit

      • Be resilient and work well in a performance based fast paced business

      • Have a strong analytical mind, excellent attention to detail and be able to absorb complex technical information quickly

      • Possess strong problem-solving skills, be flexible and able to adapt to changing project priorities

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent

      Desirable

      • 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience as quality assurance engineer/tester

      • ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent

      • Experience of automation; creating and running automated frameworks

      • Experience in creating database testing
