Job Description

- Development and execution of the second line of defense controls in the Key Risk areas of the bank
- Run the incident management process of the bank (including subsidiaries) in cooperation with various teams within the bank and senior management
- Act as deputy for the daily financial risk controls and custodian bank oversight function.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Bank’s and Division’s risk management framework, including risk governance and reporting, policies, methodologies and tools, risk and control assessments, definition of risk appetite and determination and monitoring of adequate risk indicators
- Support of the senior team members in various other tasks (e.g., regular reports, projects, ad-hoc requests etc.)
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Business Management, Finance, Business Law or related field
- Fully computer literate (MS Office, especially in Excel and Power Point)
- Avaloq user experience would be an additional asset
- First experience in the financial service industry (e.g. in the area of risk management, compliance or internal / external audit (up to 3 years post-graduation)
- Well-developed analytical skills to rapidly understand business situations and issues
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the Bank
- Patience and flexibility, alongside being prepared to take on more basic tasks as required
- Independent work style, self-starter and a reliable personality
- Fluent in English and German, other languages are considered a plus

As (Junior) Risk Manager within the Risk Department of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Switzerland, you will join a team of seasoned risk professionals, with the aim to become a partner to the businesses and functions. Together, we support growth and profitability of the Bank and help retaining the appropriate risk management discipline to achieve the Bank’s strategic goals. Through your support of the other team members, including the department head, in their various tasks, you will gain insight across all risk practices, and with growing experience become able to gradually take on additional responsibility.
