Job Description
- Req#: 37108
- Monitor successful completion of automated database jobs, troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor database performance, track performance metrics (index usage, CPU, Memory, I/O statistics), and offer tuning and optimization options.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries.
- Develop and implement automation scripts for routine database tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, T-SQL and database query optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments (e.g., Azure SQL Managed Instance and Database).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
- Knowledge of other database systems (e.g. DB2) is a plus.
