      What We Need

      Corpay is currently looking to hire a Junior Trader within our hedging solutions division. This position falls under our Cross-Border line of business and will sit in our Sydney office. In this role, you will support the regional APAC trading desk in servicing the sales and dealing teams while also learning the details of FX options hedging. You will report directly to SVP of Markets and Operations and regularly collaborate with the FX dealing and sales teams within the APAC region to execute FX transactions.

      Role Responsibilities

      The Junior Trader supports senior traders in position management and option pricing/booking and risk management for the APAC region. This role will give hands on experience in executing a variety of FX transactions including Spot, Forwards, NDF’s and Options. Other responsibilities of the role will include:

      • Keep track of economic news, market trends, and geopolitical events that may affect currency exchange rates, and write morning commentary and market updates as they happen to be broadcast to the sales team.
      • Conduct in-depth technical and fundamental analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities. Use various tools and indicators to study price trends, support and resistance levels, and market volatility.
      • Buy and sell currencies using electronic trading platforms. Place orders and execute trades based on market conditions, client instructions, and risk management strategies.
      • Implement risk management techniques to protect against potential losses. Set stop-loss orders and take-profit targets to limit exposure. Monitor and adjust trading positions as market conditions change.
      • Create and implement trading strategies based on market analysis and risk appetite. Continuously evaluate and refine strategies to adapt to changing market conditions.
      • Track and analyse trading performance metrics, such as profit and loss, win ratio, and risk-reward ratio. Identify areas for improvement and take necessary actions to enhance profitability.
      • Backup for spot book as and when needed.

      Qualifications & Skills

      • Degree/Diploma in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
      • Proficiency in using trading platforms, analytical tools, and financial software.
      • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
      • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced trading environment.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
