- Doctors who have completed their basic medical degree (MBBS) and the Foundation Programme or equivalent (currently holding full GMC registration), or 3 years of overseas continuous clinical experience post-qualification
- Doctors who have completed a recognised post-graduate qualification in General Medicine or allied specialties and are seeking further specialization or qualification or both as well as UK NHS experience
- MBBS or equivalent (training available)
- Basic life support
- Full GMC registration
- Awards/distinctions whilst studying for 1st degree
- Advanced Life Support
- Minimum of one year Foundation Year programme or clear demonstration of equivalent experience
- 1-year in a substantive post within the UK or clear demonstration of equivalent experience elsewhere
- Evidence of safe, sound clinical practices
- Experience of teaching medical students
- Appropriate elective experience
- Evidence of safe sound practical procedures
- Evidence of continuing professional updating

Job summary
Junior Training Fellow - Acute Medicine - County Hospital.Applications are invited for a Training Fellow to support our Medical Divisions. This post is available on a fixed term contract for 12 months. This post will specifically support our acute and general medicine wards at County Hospital.You will work under consultant supervision and within a dedicated team at all times. There will be requirement to work weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.In order to be considered applicants must have FULL GMC Registration, Basic Life Support and have previous experience of working in the NHS.

The post would suit doctors from the UK or abroad that may be at various stages of their career and would include:

To observe the Trusts agreed policies and procedures, in particular in relation to managing staff, and to follow the Trusts Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions. These policies and procedures have been drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical matters.
To take responsibility for your own Health & Safety complying with any safe working arrangements, policies and procedures which are in place.
To comply with all Trust requirements of appraisal, assessment and of the proposed medical training programme as stipulated by the programme leads.
To compete Trust general and local induction
To work appropriately and effectively within your clinical team within the limits of your competency under clinical and educational supervision.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, and commensurate with your grade, to play a full part in the supervision and support of other members of your team including more junior medical staff.
In conjunction with colleagues, to take responsibility for the best use of departmental staffing and other resources to ensure the maximum efficiency of the department.
In conjunction with colleagues, to ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met and to take part in medical audit and research as appropriate.
To accept a duty to other staff and patients to ensure that any risks, incidents and hazards are reported and managed appropriately.
