What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor, secure, and protect global networks for the Air Force and Central Command
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and manage Core Services technologies and devices
- Respond to critical network outages within designated time frames
- Perform installation and upgrades of hardware and software, including VMware and Microsoft operating systems
- Document maintenance actions and provide training to government employees in the work center
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering preferred
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- One of the following IAT Level II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP; or an IAT Level III certification
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience, preferably with DoD
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with core services, network operating systems, and technologies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Possession of certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or VMware VCP
- Experience working with mission databases and network systems
- Strong engineering knowledge of UNIX®, Microsoft®, and VMware® operating systems
- High level problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
