Job Description :The Juniper Mist Travel Network Engineer participates in and/or leads network infrastructure assessments and site survey projects for the customer enterprise in prep for network transformations from Cisco to Juniper. The goal for this team is to physically install 6-8 VA Clinics and Medical Centers per month. ?Travel will include approx. 26 site visits (CONUS) for 50% per month and follow federal travel guidelines.?Expertise in network technologies such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks including Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Quality of Service.?Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, Up Logix LM83(x), Cisco LAN 9500 and 9300s ?Seasoned with Juniper MIST and XLM. ?Must have experience implementing Cisco to Juniper network transformations.?Must be familiar with types of cabling, interfaces and accurate connectivity to other devices.?Ability to add IP addresses.?Must evaluate network design and configuration baselines and standards.?Performs work that will include a variety of complex features and require multi- or interdisciplinary approaches.?Examples of other activities include the following:oEvaluate network performance reports and provide network consulting support.oEngineer / re-engineer network consistent with customer service level requirements and approved requirements document (i.e. IPv6, multi-VRF, QOS, etc.).oPlan logical addressing, redundancy, capacity (logical & physical).oProvide technical information for, and final technical editing of, all documents and proposals.?Works at an enterprise level and in cross-functional teams to assist with the development of strategic and enterprise plans.?Must have great, customer-focused, team-oriented communications and consultative skills, be highly accountable, be self-directed and productive with strong work ethic, be willing to show ?presence? and availability on IM during business hours.?MUST be fully COVID vaccinated and negative TB test.?US Veterans or Vets in families are preferred.Qualifications :?SME level knowledge and proven experience. ?Extensive network engineering, testing and implementation experience. ?Strong work ethic, highly responsive, dependable, and self-directed, problem-solver that is fully committed to the designated shift. ?Leadership that builds trust and has an advisory, consultative style.?Good team player that takes initiative and works collaboratively. ?Resourceful and can identify issues to resolution and keep project moving forward. ?Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with discernment, sensitivity, technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer daily. ?Innovative with curiosity and desire to stay abreast of ongoing technology and software advancements.
