      The Justice System Liaison is located in the Phoenix area and is experienced in working with court involved adults, juveniles and their families, advocates and key stakeholders.

      The position works closely with other Medicaid Health Plan Coordinators, member support areas, including but not limited to the Physical and Behavioral Health, Member Services, and Provider Services.

      Working Schedule: Schedule is Monday through Friday an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8am to 5pm Arizona Time Zone.

      If you are residing locally to Phoenix, AZ, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. This position is based in Maricopa County and will require travel locally up to 10% based on business needs.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Community Liaison to the Probation, Court system, Detention and Corrections departments
      • Justice Reach in Program
      • Court Order Treatment Program
      • Resource program information for provider and member materials and website
      • Reporting requirements of enrolled adult members who are involved in the justice system
      • Coordinate members in the Justice Reach In Program who are incarcerated
      • Complete video visitation and assessment with members who are incarcerated to prepare members for reentry into the community
      • Assist with the coordination of health plan members within the court and justice system
      • Schedule PCP appointments for identified members within 7 days of the member’s release from detention
      • Coordinate behavioral health/substance abuse services for members preparing for reentry into the community
      • Provide education and support to members and their families, who are justice or court involved, helping navigate the health care system for physical and behavioral health services
      • Program improvement as needs identified
      • Member and Family education of available services and assist with access to those services
      • Develop strategies and tactical plans to support consumer/member innovation, support new product and program launches
      • Independent work environment requiring critical thinking skills

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree (in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Public Administration) OR 4+ years of experience as a Justice System Liaison
      • 4+ years of experience helping individuals with physical/behavioral health needs
      • 4+ years of experience in community programs
      • 2+ years of experience working with court involved members and their families
      • Intermediate level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Outlook, Teams) and be able to use multiple web applications
      • Willing or ability to travel up to 10% of the time, for team meetings or company events
      • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Licensed social worker and/or behavioral health or clinical degree
      • Adult and juvenile justice/behavioral health experience
      • Experience arranging community resources
      • Experience working within the juvenile and adult court system within Arizona
      • Background in managing populations with complex medical or behavioral needs

      Soft Skills:

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others
