- Maintains appropriate levels interaction and positive role modeling with youth while providing daily care & support.
- Maintains security by conducting and recording bedroom checks, ensuring doors are locked and secure while observing and reporting youth behavior and/or suspicious activities.
- Physically restrains juveniles under certain circumstances and notifies staff of emergency situations.
- Provides counseling to youth on situational problems that may arise.
- Instructs juveniles regarding facility rules, regulations, and procedures while utilizing behavior management skills.
- Assist juveniles with techniques to overcome behavioral, emotional, medical and programming needs.
- Plans and supervises behavioral, educational, instructional, and recreational activities.
- Understands the medical and special needs of the client and coordinates activities accordingly.

What you will do?
As a Juvenile Delinquency Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security and control of the facility, personnel and clients. This position will work directly with volatile and distraught female juveniles with the goal of promoting well being for success. This position will work on an all female unit. What you need:
You will need to be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED to qualify. A background in law enforcement, military, EMS, criminal justice, corrections or similar field is preferable. Additional requirements include:
