  Actalent is looking for qualified phlebotomists for openings with Kaiser Harbor City. This is a long term contract position with opportunity for permanent hire based on performance. Pay is based on previous experience and the interview process, from $23-25/hr. This positions will require shift flexibility and weekend work.   Description:

  • First and foremost, we seek candidates with at least six months of experience in an acute or sub-acute setting, with a preference for those with a year or more. This experience is crucial for the role and will ensure the highest level of professionalism. Experience in a hospital setting is highly valued.
  • Outpatient (LabCorp, Quest, etc.) setting experience -must be able to draw 45-55 patients within an 8-hour shift
  • Inpatient (Hospital) setting experience- must be able to draw 25-35 patients within an 8-hour shift
  • Excellent attendance and behavior record. Flexible on shifts and hours
  • Able to travel on all of our Medical Office Building labs (there are 8 of them throughout South Bay)
  • It's important to note that we are not in a position to provide training on phlebotomy skills. Therefore, contractor venipuncture skills and knowledge must already be given to any candidate we consider.
  • Should have minimal experience with neonate and pediatric draws on actual patients. Heel sticks done only during their phlebotomy class training is unacceptable.
  • We tend NOT to consider phlebotomists that ONLY have Physician Office experience (Phlebotomist/MA) because their draw volumes in this setting are not high enough to meet our expectations.
  • We also do not consider terminated previous KP employees. Rest assured, our selection process is thorough and fair, ensuring we find the best fit for our team.
