- Sanitation of indoor/outdoor kennel runs daily (use of chemicals is mandatory)
- Daily care of all canines housed in the facility (feeding, exercising, grooming, etc.)
- Ability to administer medication or the willingness to learn
- General facility maintenance and upkeep
- Veterinary transport
- Ability to update and monitor canine records
- Knowledge of basic canine needs and the ability to problem solve in a quick manner
- Must be punctual, reliable, self-motivated, flexible, and willing to learn
- Must be able to move or lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to work in inclement weather
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in a loud environment
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
POSITION INFORMATION: BASIC DETAILS

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Pay Range: $20/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary:
As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing general care, safety, and sanitation in an indoor/outdoor kennel setting. This is a hands-on position and prior experience with canine handling (working dogs) or in a kennel setting is preferred but not required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires weekend and holiday work hours. The Kennel Technician reports directly to the Director of Canine Operations.

Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
