Within this, our Water & Industry division is powering ahead – expanding rapidly across the UK as we support critical infrastructure, manufacturing, food & beverage, paper, chemical, and general industrial sectors. We’re now looking for a strategic and commercially sharp UK Sales Manager – Industry to lead our national sales team across all product and service lines in the non-utilities market.

This role is central to our growth journey. You'll shape and execute the commercial strategy, manage key customer relationships, coach and lead a high-performing team, and unlock new revenue streams by promoting tailored rotating equipment services and engineered solutions.

Role Location: This is a home-based role with responsibility for customers across the UK. You will manage your own schedule, balancing time on-site with customers, working from home, and visiting our facilities as needed. Ideally, you’ll be based in the Midlands, but this is not essential—what matters most is your willingness to travel.

      Your main tasks and responsibilities:

      • Lead and develop a national sales team of 2 across the UK industrial segment (excluding utilities).
      • Define and deliver growth strategies to exceed OI and margin targets.
      • Build scalable, profitable partnerships with key industrial customers.
      • Collaborate closely with operations, customer success teams and product managers to align delivery and exceed customer expectations.
      • Drive the introduction of long-term service agreements and other commercial initiatives.
      • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs (VOC) to inform pricing, positioning, and service innovation.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

      • Extensive of experience in the general industry market with strong exposure to pumps or rotating equipment.
      • Previous leadership experience within a commercial or sales organisation.
      • Demonstrated success in developing customer relationships and delivering against ambitious sales targets.
      • Skilled in market analysis, commercial strategy, and contract negotiation.
      • A recognised qualification in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.

      What We Offer You:

      • A competitive basic salary
      • The option of a car or car allowance – EV options are available
      • Annual Bonus Scheme
      • 33 days of annual leave
      • Defined contribution pension scheme
      • Confidential support through our Employee Assistance Programmes
      • Access to a wide range of discounts on everyday shopping, entertainment, and lifestyle
      • Opportunity to apply for a Costco membership for exclusive offers
      • Discounted personal car leasing available for you, your family, and friends
      • Long Service Awards to celebrate employee longevity
      • Continuous learning and development through Sulzer Learning Pathways

If you are a proven commercial leader with a deep understanding of the general industry market, particularly pumps and rotating equipment. You thrive on building long-term partnerships, spotting market opportunities, and translating strategy into results. If you're ready to lead, influence, and drive sustainable growth in a business that values innovation, collaboration, and customer impact — we want to hear from you!
