Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will have the responsibility to assist in the operation of all Elementary (1-5th grade) Ministry related tasks in the Kids Ministry of the Spring Branch Campus, including but not limited to the following:
● Assist the Spring Branch Kids Pastor with Sunday responsibilities.
● Volunteer coordinator for Elementary Duties include: weekly communication, coordinating, inputting and maintaining scheduling within Planning Center, and developing relationships with volunteers.
● Liaison with Human Resources for volunteer onboarding.
● Help the Kids Pastor recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
● Oversee weekly Early Elementary and 4th/5th Grade curriculum including writing and reviewing lessons, preparing materials, and preparing Pro-presenter slides.
● Help troubleshoot Kids Check In.
● Manage purchases and reimbursements for Elementary.
● Assist with classroom preparation and upkeep, involving property staff as necessary, making sure classrooms are safe, stocked with supplies, and provide a welcoming environment for children and families.
● Assist the Kids Pastor with pastoral care.
● Assist the Kids Pastor with Milestone classes and developmental programs.
● Attend campus staff meetings and ministry meetings as scheduled.
● Assist the Kids Pastor in coordinating various events: Bayou City Nights, Easter Picnic, Trunk or Treat, Christmas Kids Choir, Road to the Resurrection, Palm Sunday, 5th Grade Frenzy, etc.
● Other duties as assigned by the Kids Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Previous ministry experience required.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to function at a high level in stressful situations.
● Basic computer knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
● Other Computer experience a plus: Planning Center, ProPresenter, Google Drive and Canva.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
● Modified Work week Sunday-Thursday with flexibility.
● Some schedule flexibility required for special events.
