      Overview

      A lovely, young, down-to-earth family based in Millbrook NY, is seeking a fantastic estate/facilities manager to oversee their 800-acre Millbrook farm. The family has additional residences but this will be the main focus. The schedule will generally be Monday through Friday, 40-50 hours as needed, and candidates should have a 24/7 mentality to assist with things as they come up.

      Responsibilities

      Duties for this position encompass everything related to the main residence. The home has several staff on site, so the estate manager will work with them to ensure that the homes are running smoothly. Duties include;

      • Scheduling and overseeing renovations and projects
      • Being on-site for maintenance and vendors
      • Hiring and supervising household staff.
      • Overseeing invoices
      • Managing house/staff manuals
      • Shopping for groceries and other household items as needed
      • Running errands
      • Keeping up with car maintenance
      • Scheduling calendars and working with yacht crew and aviation crew for family trips
      • The family is also seeking someone who is open to various projects that come up related to the home and family such as redecorating and reorganizing
      • Mentoring the facility team to achieve a high level of service, detail, and performance

      • Training and development of the facility engineers

      • Making recommendations to improve and upgrade the level of detail and service sophistication

      • Assist in planning and coordinating all required additions and changes to the properties

      Requirements

      • 5-10 years experience in a similar role with relevant qualifications
      • Clean and current driving record
      • US passport, Green Card or EAC
      • Team player mentality
      • Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
      • Self-starter and able to see projects from start to finish.
      • Adaptable demeanor, able to adjust with little notice.

      Salary and Benefits

      • The family is open on salary and will provide a benefits package. They are open to relocating the right person.
