Korean - English Linguist

We’re on a mission to bring exceptional language expertise to critical international operations, and we’re looking for a highly skilled linguist to join us in Seoul, South Korea. This role is pivotal in supporting joint efforts between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and US military teams, providing top-tier translation and interpretation services.

Responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous Korean-English translation and interpretation during workshops, briefings, and meetings with the ROK Ministry of National Defense (MND) and US military teams.
  

• Facilitate effective communication for military capabilities studies and other collaborative projects.
  

• Deliver high-quality language support in fast-paced environments, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
  

• Work Directly with US and Korean Military leaders to support government and military operations at designated facilities in the Seoul area.
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Language Proficiency : Professional-level Korean-English fluency rated at 3/3/3/3 or higher in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  

• Clearance : Active US Secret security clearance.
  

• Flexibility : Willingness to commit to a 2–3 month assignment, with potential for extension.
  

Desired:

• Familiarity with military protocols and cultural nuances of ROK and US government operations.
  

• Experience Proven ability to perform simultaneous translation and interpretation in professional or governmental settings.
  

• Residency in the Seoul area is a plus but not required.
  

• The ability to quickly integrate into dynamic team settings and handle short-term assignments effectively.
