      Title: Kubernetes DevOps Engineer

      Location: Remote

      Duration: Long Term

      • Managing DevOps infrastructure (Kubernetes) & policies, processes, integrations
      • Managing apps at scale using commercial CD tools like Argo CD.
      • Edge/Embedded/Air-gapped environment experience would be amazing as we're deploying software to aircraft.

      Job Description

      Role & Responsibilities

      • Build and support Rancher Fleet manager solution, supporting services, application pipelines
      • (delivery) and Helm Charts for Platform Compute Environment.
      • Integrate, manage and automate administration of hundreds of edge kubernetes clusters
      • Design and manage tenancy of users and workloads across integrated clusters

      Technical Skillsets

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
      • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
      • Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and management.
      • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components, with hands-on experience in cluster orchestration and management using Rancher.
      • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and ContainerD.
      • Familiarity with application templating tools like Helm or Kompose.
      • Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals including CRDs, RBAC, PKI, and HNC.
      • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
      • Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation tasks.
      • Knowledge of API management, debugging, and design principles.
      • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and FluentD.
      • Familiarity with network engineering concepts including BGP, IPIP, ISIS, and configuration of switches and routers.
      • Experience with Kubernetes networking solutions such as Calico, Flannel, and KubeRouter is a plus.
