      Role Type: 6 Month FTC - Hybrid working

      We are currently recruiting KYC Analysts to join us on a 6 Month FTC basis.

      Putting our clients at the centre of everything we do applies to all of our practices. We need to ensure that we have a smooth client onboarding, as well as a robust on-going governance, particularly when it comes to client due diligence and management of risk. With a focus on strengthening oversight and control of these activities, as well as transforming our end-to-end approach for Clients, a new Client Risk and Governance team is being created reporting to the Chief Client Officer within Client Group.

      Key Accountabilities

      The role of KYC Remediation Analyst is part of the Investment Vector First line of defence (1LOD) responsibility for remediating/refreshing reviewing and assuring the accuracy of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) due diligence information gathered as part of client refresh and remediation reviews. The job role will include but not limited to the following activities.

      • Provide guidance to the 1LOD with regards to refresh/remediation of client onboarding documentation specifically, Know Your Client (KYC)/AML as well as Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)/Customer Due Diligence (CDD) related supporting documents.

      • Review, prepare clients (whether new on-boarding or remediating) files and provide feedback to the client service team on the quality of the file, whether all required supporting documents have been obtained and whether the customer checklists and risk assessments have been completed accurately and adequately.

      • Perform and risk assess screening for all related parties, regarding PEP/Sanctions and adverse media.

      • Act as point of contact for the 1LOD KYC/AML team with Financial Crime related matters and ensure the team is up to date with the relevant internal policies and procedures.

      • Conduct periodic, and event driven, reviews on High Risk, as well as PEP, accounts by reviewing transactions, ascertain whether further and or new supporting documents are required particularly with regards to source of wealth (SoW)/ source of funds (SoF).

      • Provide regular updates on progress on new accounts, periodic reviews, remediation and transaction alerts, in addition to ad hoc updates, to the Head of 1LOD AML

      • Escalate money laundering and financial crime suspicions in a timely manner and to the appropriate individuals & departments in the firm

      • Ensure up to date knowledge of the regulatory obligations on money laundering and financial crime risks.

      • Liaising with Custodians and Transfer agents regarding AML and KYC issues.

      About the candidate requirements

      To be successful in this role you will need (minimum experience/ requirements)

      • Experience of working for a UK/EMEA asset management financial institution

      • Strong knowledge of the following:

      1 - AML and Financial Crime risks

      2 - Transaction alerts investigation

      3 - CDD/EDD requirements under client onboarding and remediation

      4 - Requirements for Periodic Reviews

      5 - Screening and Sanctions process with PEP escalation processes

      6 - Production of MI

      7- Complex corporate structures

      • Strong communication skills as well as the ability to build rapport with internal & external customers

      • Ability to operate independently to plan workload, prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines

      • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver agreed outcomes.
