- Perform analyses on batches of produced materials following written SOP.
- Work may include the use of specialized laboratory equipment: Viscometer, GC, UV/Vis Spec, etc.
- Perform analyses in a timely and accurate manner.
- Accurately record and report the results of all tests performed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
- May be asked to perform special projects.
- Occasional travel might be required but will not be a routine part of the job.
- Work under the supervision of a chemist.
- Log in new laboratory samples.
- Sample preparation: dilutions, sample digestion, etc, following written SOP.
- Cleaning glassware and maintaining testing equipment.
- Work may include the use of a variety of laboratory equipment including FT-IR, ICP-OES, IC, Flow Loop, etc.

- Responsible for the proper disposal of waste.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in a laboratory.
- Detail oriented.
- Good math and computer skills.
- Able to use Microsoft Office Products: Specifically – Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Job Description
Select Chemistry’s Summer Intern will test and qualify raw materials and products in support of our company’s mission to manufacture quality products for our customers. The Lab Technician will conduct routine chemical analyses in a laboratory environment. The technician will be expected to produce accurate and repeatable results and documents to support sales and manufacturing. This position will require an individual capable of working independently to meet daily work requirements.
