      About the Job:
      Join McCarl’s Technical Services (MTS) as a Lab Technician and contribute to high-quality mineral processing and materials testing in a dynamic and growth-focused environment. This entry-level position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals eager to learn technical procedures and support laboratory operations.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Conduct daily laboratory testing safely and accurately in compliance with OSHA standards and internal SOPs.
      • Receive, label, log, and prepare samples using techniques such as drying, crushing, and pulverizing.
      • Maintain clean lab conditions and ensure proper disposal or archiving of samples.
      • Perform basic sample analysis and document results in lab notebooks and reports.
      • Support quality control and data tracking efforts using Excel and Word.
      • Assist in general lab maintenance and contribute to team initiatives.
      • Travel occasionally to client or company sites as needed.

      Qualifications:
      1. High School diploma or equivalent (required).
      2. No prior lab experience necessary; training provided.
      3. Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization skills.
      4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
      5. Willingness to learn technical processes and follow written and verbal instructions.
      6. Ability to work independently or in a team, with moderate supervision.
      7. Valid driver’s license; MSHA certification may be required post-hire.

      This is a part time position
      Salary Range:: $20-$22/hour
