      JOB SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Lab Manager, the QC lab technician is responsible to perform routine and non-routine tests to determine if the product meets certain standards and customer specifications. Also, responsible to inspect in process samples, bulk samples, as well as finished product. Additional responsibilities include checking or specifying colors, textures, and other testing with following procedures and ensuring safety while working. This position will work on-site 5 days a week in our Kingstree, SC manufacturing facility.

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Responsible for inspecting samples as well as finished products
      • Using lab equipment such as gas chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), etc.
      • Follows all standard operating procedures for laboratory testing, while performing each procedure in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner
      • Performs laboratory equipment calibrations at regular intervals
      • Utilizes downtime for good housekeeping

      REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

      • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or science preferred with experience in HPL or Associate degree of science at minimum
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office products
      • 1 plus years of experience with laboratory testing
      • Ability to multitask and work independently to achieve goals and maintain quality of work
      • Excellent personal interaction skills
      • Be able to work independently and unsupervised as part of team
      • Requires ability to respond to problems quickly and professionally
      • Flexibility with scheduling
