Description:
Gluten Testing Lab Technician - Medallion Lab Group
Responsible for ensuring daily quality parameters are met within the lab. Gluten Lab.
In Medallion Labs, we are looking for an analyst with basic chemistry laboratory experience who pays very close attention to detail, can prioritize multiple tasks and is able to work effectively on a team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is eager to learn and continually strives to improve processes in the lab.
This posting is in our Gluten Lab with a modified shift of Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm onsite.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines
• Execution of ELISA Kit testing methods
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
• Meet Quality control and ISO requirements
• Maintain a work environment that complies with General Mills and Medallion safety rules
• Cross-functional support across Medallion as business needs dictate
• Strong organizational skills, independent decision making, high attention to detail, and service orientation are essential
• Skillfully handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with minimal guidance or direction
Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. - onsite at JFB
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• 2-Year science degree or 4-year science degree (Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science, Env. Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or Related)
• Must have computer application knowledge and be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, LIMS, or possess the ability to learn these applications
Physical job requirements:
• Stand for long periods of time on feet
• Hand movements of grasping, pinching, and turning
Preferably candidates with ELISA experience or experience working in a food lab
