      EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Asbestos) in Cinnaminson, NJ. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Experienced analysts are welcomed to apply.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      Preparation and analysis of bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using PLM (Polarized Light Microscopy), PCM (Phase Contrast Microscopy), and/or TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy), and all ancillary quality control procedures
      Determination of visual percentage and optical properties of asbestos and non-asbestos material
      Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
      Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system
      Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
      Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager


      Requirements:
      Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related science required
      Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
      Light microscopy, optical mineralogy/petrographic microscope preferred
      Laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus
      Experience performing asbestos PLM/TEM/PCM analysis
      Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
      Ability to work independently, and as a part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude
      Effective time management organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize with minimal assistance

      Available Shifts:
      Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
      Position is full-time, Tuesday to Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Training to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
      Position is full-time, Sunday to Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Training to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
      Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Training to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
