This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal Skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightning II.
This position is within the Low Observable (LO) Materials team in Palmdale, California and requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, therefore U.S. citizenship is required.
In this position, you will:
• Support a team of engineers and technicians in a hands-on environment by managing the laboratory supplies and chemicals.
• Support research and development of new material applications, including vendor searches, budget tracking, and schedule monitoring.
• Maintain environment, health, and safety (ESH) compliance to chemical handling guidelines, facility regulations, and training requirements.
• Coordinate with internal LM customers including multiple research, development, production, and sustainment programs to support mission-critical deadlines.
• Coordinate with external vendors.
• Lead environment, health, and safety (ESH) compliance including Safety Data Sheet (SDS) verification, Proposition 65 compliance, and Globally Harmonized System (GHS) label verification.

This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale. • Two years or more experience working in a chemical management role
• Prior experience with inventory management
• The ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and special program access, therefore U.S. citizenship is required • Previous experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of the Lockheed Martin SAP MRP production control system
• Previous experience working with tcmIS
• Previous experience with environment, health and safety (ESH) compliance such as working with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Proposition 65 compliance.
• A history of elevated performance supporting Production and Developmental Programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
