      Department:

      Engineering | Center for Automotive Research

      The Laboratory Research Operations Coordinator at the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) in the College of Engineering (CoE) at The Ohio State University is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Associate Director at CAR. This position supports the operations of CAR’s energy storage laboratories; instructs students on use of energy storage lab equipment and processes; provides support to design the mechanical fixtures for battery testing and fabrication of prototype battery modules and packs; specifies and orders laboratory equipment and materials to support research needs at CAR; assumes responsibility for setting up, managing and maintaining laboratory spaces; maintains clean and safe environment at all times in these spaces; enforces laboratory safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and OSU regulations; Develops instructional material and provides training to undergraduate and graduate level students in the area of energy storage testing and analysis techniques, processes, and laboratory safety; serves as backup to other lab supervisors as needed.

      Experience Required: 0 – 2 years experience working with in or a research lab setting

      The target hiring range for this job profile is $22.96- $29.83. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc
