      About the Position
      ADM Milling Co. is actively searching for an organized, autonomous and dynamic player with a chemistry background to join their Milling Team located in Midland Ontario. Working under the supervision of the Quality & Food Safety Manager, while forming a team with plant millers and the others operators, the successful applicant will safely perform the required analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products, maintain appropriate test result files, aid in maintenance of quality programs, and communicate quality information internally to the team and externally to the customers when required.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Accurately analyze, calculate and report data on a wide variety of wheat, flour milling and shipping samples

      • Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills in performing all job functions with plant peers, management, customers, suppliers and laboratory personnel

      • Use appropriate computer programs to process data and keep accurate logs of all pertinent information

      • Demonstrate flexibility and manage all job functions within pre-determined timelines

      • Properly follow all ADM internal and external procedures without exception

      Required Skills and Qualifications

      • Must be a motivated individual able to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.

      • Demonstrates a strong team-collaborator attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision

      • Experience with AACC methods

      • Experience with H.A.C.C.P. and Food Safety is an asset

      • Must have good attention to detail troubleshooting skills

      • Must be familiar with standardized industrial procedures, practices and concepts

      • Must have the ability to multi-task

      • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills

      • Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

      Education or Work Experience

      • Must possess a post-secondary education in food chemistry or related field

      • Minimum of 4 months experience in a QC lab environment

      • Related Industry Knowledge

      Additional Information

      • History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts

      • Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation

      • Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
