SBSE CAMP COLL - Campus Collection Philadelphia
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
Receives shipments of diverse types of mail and other items delivered to the IRS office and moves to a
designated supply area.
Unpacks cardboard cartons by hand or using simple hand tools.
Stacks boxes to ensure they are kept in appropriate order.
As directed and as time permits, may assist in moving office furniture and equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
BASIC REQUIREMENT :
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. To be qualifying your experience should demonstrate the following: Able to perform manual tasks such as receiving shipments, pulling files contained in boxes, and moving and stacking boxes. Able to follow simple instructions, to frequently lift and carry light and moderate weight objects such as cartons of forms. Have awareness of safety procedures to recognize and report workplace hazards. Able to use simple tools as required to move cartons, furniture and equipment, to open boxes and to stock shelves. Must be able to frequently lift and carry light and medium weight objects such as cartons that weigh up to approximately 30 pounds. Able to frequently walk, bend, stoop and reach.
