  Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Laminated Builder I in Arlington, TX.

  In our organization, the Laminated Builder has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.
  
  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets-up and prepares parts for build-up.
  • Organizes materials and tools required for build-up.
  • Checks setup lights.
  • Weighs, measures and cuts materials for lamination as required.
  • Checks mandrel dimensions and adjusts based on item build plan.
  • Trims and buffs parts.
  • Builds parts by following prescribed procedures using an MIP.
  • Repairs parts as necessary.
  • Reads and records measurements in the MIP. Stamps the MIP as required.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Follows safe work practices and instructions, and exercises stop work authority if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Entry level position.
  • Common knowledge of manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Understands and follows written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Builds parts while maintaining acceptable production and quality standards.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division).
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail is required.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, pushing and pulling.
  • Lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and 20 pounds occasionally. Lifting over 30 pounds with assistance.
  • Prolonged standing.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather environment (non-air conditioned buildings as required)

  By contractual requirements this position requires that all persons establish proof of US Citizenship. Dual Citizenship (US citizenship and citizenship of some other country) cannot be accepted. You will be required to provide original or certified copies of documents establishing your citizenship prior to consideration for this position.
