Job Description

- Operate the laminating machine
- Maintain the rollers and materials
- Read and interpret job tickets and specifications
- Input the correct settings
- Monitor equipment
- Troubleshoot any problems that arise during the operation of the laminating machine
- Set up and run high-quality products at optimum speeds
- Inspect glue - make sure it meets specifications.
- The Slitting Operator is responsible for setting up the machine, running production of the slitter, cleaning of the slitter and all maintenance on the slitting machines
- This position is responsible for operating machines to slit continuous lengths of laminated film into specified widths that meet your customer quality specifications
- This role would also be responsible for packing off the slitter for shipping, when required
- Review job folder and data on computer regarding job
- Use hoist to hang rolls
- Review blueprints and complete slitting checklist to obtain accurate customer specifications
- Set web guides and knives pursuant to customer specifications
- Wipe rollers with alcohol, adjust gauges, adjust cores or spacers and put lay down arms on slitter
