      Land Surveying Technician – Field Operations

      Milwaukee, WI | Full-Time | Surveying & Geomatics

      Position Summary:

      We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveying Technician to join our field operations team in Milwaukee. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a hands-on environment, and is eager to support a variety of land development and infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with survey crews and project managers to collect accurate field data and ensure the successful execution of boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Perform field surveys including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking
      • Operate GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying instruments
      • Collect and record precise field data for use in mapping and design
      • Assist with site reconnaissance, control point establishment, and utility locating
      • Interpret construction plans and assist with layout for roads, utilities, and structures
      • Maintain field equipment and ensure proper calibration and care
      • Work safely and efficiently in a variety of outdoor conditions

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in surveying or geomatics preferred
      • 1–3 years of field survey experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong work ethic are encouraged to apply
      • Familiarity with GPS and total station equipment (Trimble, Leica, or similar)
      • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and legal descriptions
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
      • Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain
      • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
